Adult Camp 2008
Who's up for another Adult Camp
with Eric McKechnie this year? Erik has agreed to be able to come and teach
for us again from the 3rd to the 5th June inclusive - so you might as well
take the whole week off as the weekend is Rock Ness again! If you want to
arrive on the Monday night to settle yourselves and neddies in - that is not a
problem.
I am holding two of the cabins
again and the minimum number of folk we will run for is 6. If there are only 6
persons the cost will be £240 each (£212 each for 7 persons and £190 each for
8 persons) so if we can fill the places then it will cost less. I am needing a
deposit of £75 from those wanting to come to confirm places, as soon as
possible.
The cost as usual includes
stabling, self catering accommodation on site for riders, all instruction and
facility hire.
New ideas for 2008 are a beach ride
(could be with differing standard rides) at Nairn and an instructional visit
to a nearby x-country course for a change (either to jump or to spectate) .
Any other ideas you might have are welcome too at this planning stage.
Previous years exploits have
included private flatwork lessons, lungeing and longreining, Trec obstacles,
cross country, gridwork, dressage to music, musical ride, show jumping course,
endurance training, red wine drinking, barbecuing and tall tale telling. It
is all possible. The important thing is that you only have yourself and your
horse to worry about for 3 days - lots of "you" time. We could definitely
include some massage/shiatsu time for horse and rider this year if wanted!
