Dahbi

Dahbi is a 15.1hh, 8 y.o.(in January)  Purebred Arab gelding by Dormane, the famous French racing sire. He was trained for racing but was not fast enough for his owner Sheik Mohammed, so I was lucky enough to get hold of him. He is a super horse to work with and is a very comfortable, balanced ride. I did a pleasure ride and the bronze series  (all with gold awards) with him at the end of last summer and he is now ready to go on for 2008 to 60 and 80 km rides. I rate him quite highly and feel that he should make a serious competitive horse at top level in the future.

Dahbi has been sold to Pat Dorwood, following the untimely demise of her good mare. We wish her every success with this good young horse.

Loustic des Tunes

Louis as we know him is a 9 y.o pure Arab gelding with excellent endurance breeding. His father is Bosphore and his mum, Princess IV (by Persik out of Cigale) was French national endurance Champion, won both Florac and Montcuq.

Louis has completed 90 km. and is an Open horse by EGB standards. He has excellent recoveries and loves his work. He is an excellent international prospect.

Louis has just done an 80 km race ride at Aviemore in which he started from the back of a good field of 11 horses. He worked his way up through the class with quick presentation times at the vet gates and won convincingly at a bit under 17 kph. Further to this he also won his next Trooper series ride - the 80 km Argyll Challenge.

I hope to prepare him for the 2008 Golden Horseshoe on Exmoor.

Multi-talented Louis, who won his 2 first ever dressage classes and, also recently, an Open Trec class.

Prince Omar

is a 10 y.o. 15.2 hh grey Purebred Arab Gelding, grandson of  Sky Crusader. He has done 4 BTQ's and is ready for 50 to 80 km easily this season. Omar has a great temperament and is a really easy ride for anyone. He is very well schooled, does a lovely dressage test and has a really good jump in him - both over show jumps and cross country. He has been in work through the winter and is fit and ready to go. Also successful in Open Class of Trec - only beaten by Louis!
Omar has now achieved his BTF very competently at Fairburn 2008- not the easiest course and we hope he will now go on to his silver series this summer.!

Omar has also now left us to start a new life with John Thomson in the Tayside branch of SERC. We wish him lots of luck with his new horse and hope he gets as much pleasure from Omar as we have had. He is a lovely boy.
