Loch Ness Riding has a small stud of Highland Ponies consisting of a young stallion, Edindurno Glendronach, a son of Pat Watson's Edindurno Glen Clova, and four purebred mares. n The stock have been picked for their correctness, good temperaments and their suitability to perform. We do not have time to show the ponies with our other commitments in competitive sport, but they are all be correctly handled with worming and foot trimming regularly attended to. Youngstock and breeding stock will be for sale at all stages.
OUR STALLION Edindurno Glendronach by Edindurno Glen Clova (Neildene) out of Maidenstone Merry Dancer (Ben Nevis of Croila). Born 09/06/2003. He has been licensed by the HPS and will hopefully cover all three mares this season. He will also be available to a few outside mares at a stud fee of £150 with a keep charge of £2 per day.
Dronny above (when he was just 3 and yesterday (17/08/07) leaving the yard for a hack out having just been backed this week. He is a real star! The New Arrival -
Rae with Abby (Glendronnach's first daughter)
Abby as a yearling. She is now for sale. See another picture on our "For Sale" page.
OUR MARES Raedene by Highfield Glen Albyn (Falcon Frost of Sauchrie) out of Reynella Dene (Dougaldene). Born 15/04/1995. Rae , mother of Abby, has produced another filly foal this year, born quite late on the 24th July. It is a big grey dun (could turn mouse) filly and in view of the lateness of her birth she will not be weaned till Christmas but will be for sale then. Rae has been running with Dronny and has yet to be scanned.
5 y.o. Nina or Rescobie by McNab of Denmill out of Norma of Rescobie.
Nina Nina also had a foal, a lovely filly who we have named Baine (or pale one - in gaelic). She is quite a personality. Nina has been covered again and Baine will be for sale at weaning - probably the end of September.
